Question Base is knowledge base built on top of Slack.

How does Question Base work?

Question Base captures expert responses from Slack conversations and transforms them into reusable knowledge. Using AI, it detects and answers repetitive questions, reducing time spent searching for information. It works directly inside Slack.

Slack is a team communication platform, owned by Salesforce. More than 750,000 organizations use Slack. It’s the most popular alternative of Microsoft Teams.

Do you need to have Slack to use Question Base?

Yes, Question Base is a Slack-first experience. The AI bot lives within the team chat and captures know-how from there. Question Base also has its own interface, available at questionbase.ai where the company-wide FAQ lives.

What other tools does Question Base integrate with?

Question Base helps teams make use of their current documentation, wikis, FAQs and help centres. It offers AI search across tools in your Slack so when an employee asks a question, the AI finds the right answer from Google Docs, Notion, Guru, Intercom, Salesforce, Zendesk, Box, Confluence, Dropbox.

How much does Question Base cost?

Question Base offers two main pricing tiers:

  • Free Plan: $0/month, including unlimited channels, limited integrations, and up to 50 saved answers.
  • Pro Plan: $5 per user/month ($4 with an annual subscription), which includes unlimited channels, unlimited integrations, and unlimited saved answers.
How do I add Question Base to my Slack workspace?

Install through the Slack App Marketplace. Then type /invite @questionbase in a busy channel and it will start capturing know-how and responding repetitive questions.

Is my data secure with Question Base?

Yes, Question Base is a SOC2 Type I (Type II in progress) vendor. It uses secure data encryption, and isolated data instances to protect customer information. Data is stored in AWS.
